Caballerizas MSporthorses: THE RESULT OF A COMBINATION OF WOOD AND TECHNOLOGY
This stable, designed to keep 14 jumping horses, is part of a group of buildings scattered on a piece of land in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The barn was constructed of Glulam and laminated timber, except for the ceiling clad in selected clear Radiata Pine boards.
DATA SHEET MSPORTHORSES STABLES:
- Year: 2017
- Architect: Matias Zegers
- Client: MS SportHorses
- Type of construction system: Framework system
- Materials: 100 m3 Glulam
- Installation time:: 45 days
The entire structure and enclosures were prefabricated and computationally machined at Niuform's plant in Los Ángeles, Chile. This solution made it possible to develop the complex geometry of the structure, which otherwise would have been unfeasible. Assembly in the field took only 45 days.
